How to Choose a Super Bowl Squares App

Check whether a guest can open the invite on a phone, claim a square, understand the axis labels and return to the board. A browser link can be simpler than requiring everyone to install an app. If app alerts matter, verify which notifications are supported and whether sign-in is required.

Ask whether results are automatic or host-entered, how overtime is handled, whether numbers stay fixed or shift, and what happens if the board is not full. Live scores alone do not prove that a tool automatically grades every quarter or supports your preferred rules.

Check the total host price for your selected event and the allowed number of participants. Distinguish a software fee from square entry fees or any separate financial service. Sportsball does not collect player pots or pay cash winnings.

Sportsball supports 100-square and 25-square football boards, Open claims or Managed assignments, fixed or shifting digits and automatic Q1/halftime/Q3/final winners. Guest squares can be played without an account; the native app requires sign-in and adds notifications. These are product capabilities, not claims that competitors lack them.

Players join free. The current Super Bowl squares host product has a $0.99 list price; regular NFL squares currently have no publish fee. Check the actual selected game's publish screen, especially for a future special event. Available matchups determine when you can create a board.

Choose Sportsball if your group wants a shared phone-friendly board and points-only scoring. If you specifically require entry-fee collection, payment distribution or a different board variant, verify those requirements elsewhere rather than assuming Sportsball provides them.

The public SuperBowlSquares.org product page, reviewed October 31, 2026, advertises classic digit boards, a separate scoring-play variant, live scores on the board, season-long grids, email tools and a flat-fee approach. Its current feature set is broader than older descriptions that called it only a basic desktop board.

Consider it if those alternate board or season-long features match your group. Verify the current fee, participant workflow, supported events and automatic winner rules on the provider's site. We do not claim it lacks mobile support or notifications without checking those specific capabilities.

Super Bowl Pool Site is another option to evaluate, but its public page blocked this review. We therefore do not republish old user counts, free-price claims or assertions about its apps. Use the same checklist before selecting it or any other provider.

A printable board works well if everyone is together and one person is happy to assign digits and record results. It needs no login or device, but remote claims and live winner updates require manual coordination. Give one version of the board to the group and record the final digit draw so duplicate paper copies do not disagree.

Try the invite on a second device. Confirm board size, entry mode, randomization, number shifting and overtime rules. Decide how to treat unclaimed squares and repeat winners. Share the rules before claims, nominate a backup host and keep the game voluntary.
