NFL Odds Pick'em: Underdog Jelly-Bean Scoring
Read the values before choosing
Close matchups are around ten beans on each side. As one team becomes more favored, a correct favorite pick tends to earn fewer beans and a correct underdog pick more. Values can vary; do not memorize a universal 1, 1.5 or 2-point system or infer an exact score from an external sportsbook line.
You choose one winning team per matchup. More difficult choices have a larger displayed reward, but no reward for being close. An upset in Even scoring still earns the same ten beans as any other correct pick; variable underdog values belong to Odds.
A worked weekly total
Illustrative example
Across three separate games, you choose a favorite worth 6 beans, an underdog worth 17 and another team worth 10. The first two win and the third loses. Your correct-pick total is 6 + 17 = 23 beans, not 33. The values are examples; use your actual sheet.
Private NFL season standings add the correct-pick beans from your league's weekly sheets. There is no additional top-three placement bonus in private NFL pick'em. Your personal account's other games are not imported into this league's season total.
Odds is not confidence or against-the-spread scoring
A confidence pool lets each player rank N games using unique values from 1 to N. Odds gives values to the choices rather than asking players to allocate a ranking. Both change the value of correct predictions, but they are different rules and cannot share a combined total without an explicitly separate calculation.
Spread pools judge whether a team covers a handicap. Odds judges who wins, not the margin. A seven-point victory can be a correct Odds winner pick and an incorrect -7.5 Spread pick.
Deadlines still control your choices
The commissioner sets first-kickoff, per-game or Sunday 1pm Eastern locking. On a first-kickoff sheet, Sunday results cannot be used to change Monday picks. On a per-game sheet, only unstarted matchups remain editable. With the Sunday cutoff, later questions close at that cutoff.
Higher beans do not mean a sure opportunity. Estimate probability as well as points, understand whether you are pursuing the weekly win or season total, and accept that a sensible pick can lose. Sportsball is a points-only social game, not a betting recommendation service.
